Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring a GCS Chemical Maintenance Technician to maintain specialty chemical equipment and provide technical expertise for chemical systems, safety, and quality standards. You'll work closely with engineering and operations teams to optimize safety, operations, and maintenance.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical expertise for chemical systems, safety standards, and system improvements.
- Interact with internal and contract operations teams and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction to resolve them.
- Work with engineering teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance.
- Aid engineering to commission and start up new equipment installations.
- Optimize PM (preventative maintenance) strategies for aging assets to minimize risk.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in facilities or high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
- 4+ years of chemical or gas delivery operations and/or maintenance experience.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to represent the group in work coordination and execution.
- Experience with pumps, valves, HMIs, and piping distribution systems.
- Experience with systems troubleshooting and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Aptitude for documentation and data analysis.
- Familiarity with design and installation of gas and chemical equipment including piping systems and facility support equipment.
- Ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as required.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of college/technical school or equivalent related experience.
- Semiconductor facility support experience.
- Experience in semiconductor engineering.
