Roblox is looking for a Game Design Intern for our 12-week summer internship program based in San Mateo, CA. You will join our Assessments team and play a critical role in shaping the first step of the Roblox journey for all candidates. Your work will help build the systems-based games and rules used to evaluate talent, ensuring our hiring experiences are fair, data-driven, and representative of the high-caliber engineering and design work at Roblox.
What You'll Do
- Define and generate the underlying rules, mechanics, and content that drive engaging, systems-based gameplay.
- Review qualitative and quantitative data from playtests to identify areas for improvement and refine existing content.
- Create clear, actionable early-stage design specs and content guidelines for both internal and external development partners.
What We're Looking For
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Analytical with the ability to look at data objectively and pivot your design strategy based on user behavior and performance trends.
- Proficient in writing and can translate complex ideas into simple, structured documentation that provides a clear roadmap for other developers.

You will be joining the Assessments team, where you will help shape how Roblox identifies and evaluates top talent.

- Compensation: $62-$62 USD hourly
