What You'll Do
Design, build, and sustain high-impact government applications using Java, Go, and modern full-stack frameworks. You'll work across all layers of the system, from user interface to database, ensuring solutions meet functional and security requirements. Collaborate directly with stakeholders to clarify objectives and shape technical scope.
Take part in architecture discussions and contribute to key engineering choices, whether building new features or modernizing legacy components. Support continuous integration and delivery through DevSecOps practices, using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Maven. Participate in testing, code reviews, and quality assurance to deliver reliable software.
Travel periodically to Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica to support deployment and integration of biometric systems with local government teams. Work within Agile frameworks like SAFe and Kanban, following iterative development cycles and close user collaboration.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship with current DHS HQ EOD; ability to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in software development
- Proficiency in Java and GoLang; experience with C++ is a plus
- Hands-on work with Spring Boot, Java EE, and web services development
- Solid background in HTML, JavaScript, and UI frameworks for front-end implementation
- Experience writing and maintaining SQL queries in Oracle environments
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and Maven
- Proven experience in Agile and Scrum environments
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Experience with test-driven development practices
