AND Digital is looking for a Full Stack Java Engineer for a 6-month fixed term contract. In this role, you'll apply your commercial Java and React expertise to build robust software solutions, while contributing to our mission of closing the world's digital skills gap.
What You'll Do
- Work within agile methodologies in a commercial environment.
- Address challenges from stakeholders on technical issues and influence technical decisions within the team.
- Guide and support junior and mid-level engineers in their development.
- Write effective documentation and share knowledge across the team.
- Own and champion engineering best practices as a Senior Engineer, such as TDD, SOLID, and XP.
What We're Looking For
- Solid development experience working in a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of Java and React.
- Commercial experience working with agile methodologies.
- Experience handling challenges from stakeholders on technical issues and influencing team decisions.
- Understanding and ownership of best practices as a Senior Engineer (e.g., TDD, SOLID, XP).
- Experience guiding and supporting junior and mid-level engineers.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployments.
- Experience writing effective documentation and sharing knowledge.
Nice to Have
- Wider experience with different tools and frameworks across the full technology stack.
- An enthusiasm for broadening your skillset and learning new technologies.

This is a hybrid role based in the UK. The position is mostly remote with ad hoc travel required to our Bristol location.
