BetterMe is looking for a Full Stack Developer to lead the development of a new Style Mobile application using React Native. You will ensure high technical quality and scalable architecture from the start, working across the full product development lifecycle, mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver features that drive user impact.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of a new Style Mobile application using React Native, ensuring high technical quality and scalable architecture.
- Collaborate with the team to validate existing research and prepare the platform for supporting both Web and Mobile applications.
- Identify and escalate required backend improvements to enable seamless support for multiple client applications.
- Contribute to the development of the Style web platform and related services (frontend and backend) during onboarding.
- Mentor team members in React Native development, helping the team grow mobile expertise and avoid architectural gaps.
- Participate in full-cycle product development: architecture discussions, feature implementation, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to improve funnels and deliver features that drive user impact.
- Contribute to engineering culture through team processes, knowledge sharing, and cross-team collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience building production mobile applications with React Native.
- Hands-on experience deploying apps to App Store and Google Play (certificates, signing, release pipelines, review processes).
- Solid frontend experience with React, Redux Toolkit, TypeScript, Next.js.
- Strong backend understanding and practical experience with Node.js / NestJS, PostgreSQL, TypeORM.
- Experience working across full-stack product development (frontend, backend, and integrations).
- Comfortable working in product teams with a product mindset and ownership attitude.
- Proactive engineer who can suggest improvements, challenge existing approaches, and help evolve the architecture.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Confident user of AI engineering tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude Code or similar.
- Ability to balance delivery speed with code quality and maintainability.
Nice to Have
- Experience mentoring engineers or helping teams adopt new technologies.
- Experience integrating third-party services such as Shopify API, Solidgate (payments), email marketing platforms, or Zendesk.
- Familiarity with mobile analytics and growth tools such as Firebase, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, or SQLite.
- Experience working in consumer product companies, especially in wellness, lifestyle, or subscription products.
- Interest in improving engineering processes, identifying technical debt, and proposing architectural improvements.
