Netguru is hiring a Frontend Developer - Freelance

Netguru is looking for a Freelance Frontend Developer for a full-time, 3-month project building web applications for a global business messaging platform client. You will develop clean, maintainable frontend code using React.js and modern tooling, working as part of the client's team.

What You'll Do

• Build web applications using React.js and modern frontend tooling.
• Develop reusable components and design systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable frontend code.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Troubleshoot issues and solve problems in a timely manner.
• Be a technological authority for clients, helping them make informed decisions.
• Treat testing as an inherent part of your work.

What We're Looking For

• B2+ command of written and spoken English.
• 3+ years of proven commercial experience building web applications.
• Strong knowledge of React.js.
• Strong CSS skills.
• Proven experience building reusable components and design systems.
• Experience with Storybook, Styled Components, or other CSS-in-JS libraries.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of state/data management patterns (e.g., Redux/Mobx).
• Solid experience using ES2015+.
• Knowledge of creating DRY and S.O.L.I.D. code.
• Up-to-date with the newest ECMAScript specifications.
• Experience with testing frameworks (QUnit, Mocha, Jest, Jasmine, Vue Test Utils, Cypress, etc.).
• Strong experience with git.
• Strong knowledge of Bootstrap, Foundation, or another CSS framework.
• Experience with different styling solutions (PostCSS, CSS Modules).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with RWD and the mobile-first approach.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of typed solutions such as TypeScript or Flow.
• Experience with Ruby or Node.js code.
• Experience with serverless architecture and cloud computing platforms (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
• Experience configuring Webpack.
• Experience optimizing front-end performance and/or SEO.
• Open-source contributions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a team environment.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and ability to collaborate with designers.
