Verisk Analytics is looking for a Frontend Developer to build modern React applications using Next.js and TypeScript to solve real user problems. You will own frontend experiences from concept to deployment, working within an ecosystem that includes modern React/Next.js and legacy Angular codebases, and actively explore AI tools to automate repetitive tasks.
What You'll Do
- Own frontend experiences from concept to deployment, understanding user needs and proposing balanced solutions.
- Build new features primarily in Next.js while navigating and occasionally working with legacy Angular codebases.
- Actively explore AI tools to identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and eliminate tedious work.
What We're Looking For
- 4-7 years of frontend development experience with strong React and Next.js foundations.
- Next.js expertise including App Router vs Pages Router, server components, and streaming.
- TypeScript proficiency and understanding of how it improves maintainability.
- Strong React fundamentals including context vs props, rendering behavior, and performance optimization.
- RTK Query experience with data fetching, caching strategies, and managing server state.
- Node.js experience for working with API routes and understanding backend concepts.
- Component thinking to break down UI into reusable, composable pieces.
- Active AI experimentation, using AI assistants and looking for new applications.
- Problem-solving mindset focused on solving user problems, not just implementing designs.
- Clear communication to discuss trade-offs and technical decisions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Angular experience to work in existing Angular applications when needed.
