Monks is hiring a Freelance Motion Designer, Performance Creative (Remote) | Monks

Monks is looking for a Freelance Motion Designer to expand our creative service capabilities and build the creative offering for a top performance marketing agency. You will partner directly with the media buying team and clients to develop creative that drives results.

What You'll Do

• Animate paid media ads for digital channels (Facebook, Google, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) both net-new and from existing client materials.
• Act as a motion generalist, jumping from animation into short-form video editing.
• Collaborate with designers and producers to create ads driving performance results for client media programs.
• Manage multiple motion-based projects with tight timelines.
• Project manage yourself, fluidly jumping between multiple projects.
• Own revision and resizing projects for largest clients.
• Conceptualize animated content optimized for paid media channels.
• Effectively communicate animation concepts, ideas, and limitations to creative and non-creative teammates.
• Offer new angles, best practices, and practical solutions to motion design workflows.

What We're Looking For

• 2-4 years technical experience with motion design and video editing, preferably at a performance-focused agency.
• Portfolio is required.
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
• Experience in paid media ad animation.
• 4 year college degree (preferably in design) or equivalent work experience.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud, focused in After Effects + Premiere Pro.
• Strong time management.
• Self-starter, problem-solver & team-player.
• Openness to team and client feedback.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HTML5 ad animation.
• Experience using Gen AI tools for ad builds and concepting.
• Experience building versioning workflows or working with automated versioning tools.
• Familiarity with Google suite.
• B2C and B2B experience.
