About the Role
This role is responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will build financial models, track performance, and provide insights that guide business strategy in a fast-paced, remote-first organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts
- Create and maintain financial models to support strategic planning
- Analyze financial performance and identify key drivers and trends
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational plans
- Produce regular reporting for senior leadership and stakeholders
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability
- Support fundraising and investor reporting activities
- Evaluate business performance against targets and provide actionable insights
- Assist in the preparation of board-level financial presentations
- Streamline FP&A processes and improve forecasting accuracy
- Identify cost optimization opportunities across departments
- Ensure financial data integrity and consistency across systems
- Work closely with accounting to reconcile forecasts with actuals
- Develop dashboards and tools for real-time financial monitoring
- Lead ad-hoc financial analyses for new initiatives or markets
- Support M&A evaluation with financial due diligence
- Maintain capital planning and allocation frameworks
- Translate financial results into strategic business recommendations
- Drive scenario planning to assess risks and opportunities
- Enhance financial visibility across the organization
- Standardize financial terminology and reporting metrics
- Improve cross-functional collaboration through financial education
- Manage external consultants or auditors as needed
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Contribute to the evolution of financial strategy
