TruthSystems at Derex Technologies Inc is hiring a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to play a critical role in shaping our product, technology stack, and engineering culture. This position offers significant impact in a fast-growing company.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Ensure application scalability and performance through optimization and testing.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (React, Vue.js, or Angular) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Go).
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Proficient with Git and modern development workflows.
- Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
- Highly adaptable to new technologies and changing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, mentor team members, and lead technical projects.
- Proven track record of working effectively across teams and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a startup or early-stage company environment.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and test-driven development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
- Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative coding practices.
- Strong product taste and proven 0→1 experience building products from scratch.
- Thrives in high-trust, high-ownership environments with minimal oversight.
- Excited by autonomy and ambiguity; comfortable setting foundations.
- Located in San Francisco (Europe or other US time zones considered).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for building impactful products.
- Embraces startup mentality; comfortable with startup pace and uncertainty.
