About the Role We're seeking an exceptional Python-focused Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge technical connections between Socket's enterprise clients and our engineering teams. This position demands combining sophisticated software development expertise with outstanding interpersonal capabilities to drive successful implementations, craft custom solutions, and establish our professional services foundation. You'll critically ensure our largest customers maximize Socket's security platform's potential while influencing our technical services' future trajectory. This position offers remote work with 20-30% travel for customer engagement requirements. What You'll Do • Serve as primary technical advisor for 5-8 enterprise accounts • Develop custom code, scripts, and integrations solving complex implementation challenges • Conduct technical onboarding sessions, training workshops, and implementation guidance • Generate custom SAST rules, CVE regulations, and security policies for diverse environments • Coordinate seamless technical deployments across intricate enterprise landscapes • Cultivate robust relationships with customer engineering teams and security stakeholders • Generate standardized technical documentation and implementation playbooks • Facilitate communication between customers and internal product teams • Execute on-site technical engagements including security assessments • Optimize customer alert configurations • Proactively anticipate technical challenges • Support professional services and advanced technical consulting development What You'll Bring • 5+ years software development experience with robust Python skills • Proven record building integrations, APIs, webhook implementations • Exceptional communication capabilities • Customer-centric problem-solving approach • Comprehensive understanding of modern development workflows • Security tools and vulnerability management knowledge • Open-source ecosystem familiarity • Comfort with travel and on-site customer representation • Scripting and automation expertise Interview Process 1.
