AJ Bell is looking for a Flutter Engineer to join our Touch team, where you'll help develop a next-generation mobile-first investment platform. You'll engage in the full software development lifecycle as part of a distributed team of self-motivated and collaborative individuals.
What You'll Do
- Engage in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, building and testing features, managing deployment, and supporting the service in production.
- Iteratively make improvements to a new product while aligning to mutually agreed design and architectural principles.
- Always look for ways to improve the product, processes, and practices.
- Utilize automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Work outside of your specialism when needed to help get things done.
- Work as part of a distributed team made up of self-motivated and collaborative individuals.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent programming and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of relevant software design patterns and paradigms, such as OOAD, DDD, MVC, microservices, containers/orchestration, or event-driven architecture.
- Experience in creating performant, scalable, secure and well tested code.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and problems, clearing roadblocks and pulling in other people to help when needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Investment or Pensions platforms.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Manchester, London, or Bristol.
