GM Financial is looking for a First Party Injury Adjuster to manage the processing of non-complex first party medical bills. In this role, you will investigate the relationship between treatment and claimed injuries, negotiate and adjust bills based on state requirements, and identify recovery opportunities. You will work under direct supervision to perform routine assignments and problem resolution.
What You'll Do
- Provide claims service via various channels to policyholders and third-party customers.
- Investigate and resolve medical bills associated with first party injuries.
- Acquire and apply basic knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance industry products, services, and processes.
- Seek guidance from team members to resolve issues and identify appropriate issues for escalation.
- Partner with and/or direct vendors and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
- Contribute to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively use tools & technology.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of auto claims adjusting experience required.
- Insurance Adjuster License required.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
- First Party claims adjusting experience strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
- Multi-state experience preferred.
