The Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks a dedicated First Grade Teacher for St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School. You will join a faith-centered learning community focused on nurturing students' academic growth, social development, and spiritual formation.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, standards-based instruction for first grade students.
- Create a positive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and classroom activities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support student success.
- Participate in school liturgies, meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Support the mission and values of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid Missouri teaching certification or ability to obtain one.
- Strong classroom management, organization, and instructional skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Must support the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Nice to Have
- Experience teaching at the primary level.
- Practicing Catholic.
