Braze is hiring a Firefox OS Integration Engineer, Crash Reporting to join our distributed OS Integration team. You will specialize in maintaining and evolving client-side crash and error reporting for Firefox, with a focus on macOS, to enable high product quality. Your work will directly contribute to making the internet better for people by ensuring a robust and reliable user experience.
What You'll Do
- Develop, test, and ship fixes and new features for Firefox crash reporting, focusing on user and developer experience.
- Work in the open source Mozilla codebase touching technologies including C++, Rust, and JavaScript.
- Maintain and evolve code that detects and reports crashes, interacting with low-level OS primitives.
- Analyze crash data and come up with insights.
- Collaborate with a distributed team, participate in technical discussions, planning, code reviews, and problem solving.
- Break down problems into manageable units, seek early feedback, and document design choices.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Computer Science or an affine topic or comparable work experience.
- The desire to understand the nitty-gritty details of stack walking and post-mortem analysis of a process.
- Proven fluency in Rust and/or C++ for two years in a professional environment.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to work effectively in a distributed team environment.

- Knowledge of compiler, debugger or OS development.
