Saputo is looking for a Filler Operator to run pouch filling and packaging equipment on the night shift (6pm-6am) in our dairy manufacturing facility. You will produce high-quality dairy products while ensuring equipment safety, efficiency, and strict adherence to standard operating procedures, GMPs, and food safety regulations.
What You'll Do
- Safely and efficiently operate pouch filling and packaging equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in detail without deviation.
- Collect product samples, perform pouch fill weight checks, and inspect pouch fitments and seals to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Set up appropriate pouches, fitments, and coders according to the production schedule.
- Identify and communicate any out-of-specification product or equipment issues, following established notification protocols.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments, change-overs, CIP/SIP, clean-up, and set-up.
- Accurately complete production records, capture product rejects, and perform product reclaim operations.
- Support internal and external audits and departmental environmental controls.
- Follow all occupational health, safety, GMP, and food safety requirements.
- Cross-train with other departments and maintain good housekeeping.
- Comply with federal, state, and local dairy food regulations and adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and Company Values.
- Work collaboratively with co-workers and other departments.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing.
- A working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP, etc.).
- Strong math skills and proficient written skills for completing records and documents.
- Strong technical skills to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels, and mechanical operations.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated work history with good attendance.
Nice to Have
- Dairy food manufacturing experience.
- Advanced quality or food safety training and/or certifications.
