RemoteVA PH is looking for a Fashion Designer specializing in infants apparel (0-24 months) to join our team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for designing seasonal collections that meet high standards of comfort, functionality, and aesthetics, and creating the technical documents needed for production.
What You'll Do
- Design original and trend-forward infant apparel collections for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and prints with a focus on safety and comfort.
- Create detailed tech packs, CADs, and garment specifications for production.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and marketing teams to align designs with brand identity and market demand.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends.
- Ensure compliance with infant clothing safety regulations and certifications.
- Participate in fittings and make necessary design adjustments based on feedback.
- Maintain organized design archives and contribute to seasonal mood boards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in infant or children’s wear.
- Strong portfolio showcasing infant apparel designs and technical proficiency.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
- Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric behavior.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with CPSIA and other infant safety standards.
- Passion for children’s fashion and understanding of parental buying behavior.
- Experience working with organic or sustainable materials.
- Bilingual communication skills for global collaboration.
