Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and vision for the Digital Trust product line, combining hands-on development with experimentation and prototyping.
- Ensure long-term architectural integrity while driving tactical improvements with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and developers.
- Lead cross-cutting engineering initiatives.
- Uphold Feedzai’s product quality standards.
- Act as mentor to other technical roles.
- Partner with teams during planning (risks, designs, estimates).
- Align with Customer Success, Security, Sales, and Marketing to shape technical direction.
- Collaborate with peers and leadership to improve engineering skills and consistency across products.
- Promote sound methodologies and cohesive product delivery.
- Support the hiring process by shaping technical evaluation standards.
- Mentor engineers to become strong technical interviewers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- At least 8 years of experience in platform or DevOps teams within a SaaS environment, supporting mission-critical, large-scale systems serving high user volumes.
- Strong coding skills.
- Experience designing and publishing client-facing APIs, and enabling said APIs to development teams.
- Experience with web security.
- Experience in designing core infrastructure services to support applications (e.g. configuration management, IAM, logging, auditing, etc).
- Value experience with Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem.
- Experience with high throughput, low latency system.
- Attention to details and ability to build reliable and scalable software systems.
- Able to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with Java applications.
- The ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
