Responsibilities
- Own and manage both engineering and non-engineering aspects of the VDI platform, delivering solutions that enhance user experience, system reliability, and operational efficiency
- Investigate, assess, and propose new and existing tools, methods, and technologies relevant to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Establish, build, and maintain comprehensive documentation for VDI technologies including Horizon, application virtualization solutions, automation platforms, and graphics virtualization
- Oversee standard operating system imaging strategies for VDI and ensure seamless application integration
- Develop and enforce VDI standards while scaling services to support over 40,000 users in an enterprise setting
- Evaluate and enhance the initial VDI deployment in alignment with industry best practices
- Review incident and root cause reports to identify patterns and implement preventive measures
- Follow established IT processes and contribute to creating new ones using ITIL frameworks such as change, configuration, and release management
- Collaborate with application, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions meet performance and availability requirements
- Drive the creation of standardized operational procedures and architectural designs based on proven methodologies
- Facilitate knowledge transfer by documenting and sharing technical insights across teams
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and delivering exceptional service

On-site — Tempe, AZ

- Contract period runs from November 7, 2016, to June 16, 2017
- Seven-month contract with potential for extension or conversion depending on performance and business needs
- Must be willing to work extended hours when required
