Vivun Inc. is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing, distributed engineering team. In this role, you will be accountable for advancing our AI-led sales technology, providing technical leadership for AI-native product development, and coaching engineers within a fully remote structure.
What You'll Do
- Grow and build a high-performing, diverse team through recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Coach engineers on their day-to-day work and career aspirations, conduct regular 1:1s, and evaluate performance.
- Collaborate closely with Product to shape goals, milestones, requirements, and sequencing.
- Provide strong technical leadership and set direction for architecture and stack to ensure systems perform well at scale.
- Be accountable for team plans, deliverables, and execution.
- Lead AI-native development practices to enable rapid iteration and continuous improvement of AI experiences.
- Drive quality and reliability for AI experiences through robust evaluation, testing, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Foster a culture of empathy for users and hold a high bar for excellence.
- Foster an inclusive environment with a high degree of trust and transparency.
- Help team members build strong relationships through virtual and in-person culture initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams.
- Strong track record of delivering large-scale, resilient, and observable distributed systems and services.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong hands-on skills; can drill deep into system design or implementation.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in high-growth startup environments.
- Comfortable in high-growth startup environments, creating clarity amid ambiguity.
- Highly collaborative, building strong relationships across Marketing, Product, and Sales.
- A clear, thoughtful communicator who builds trust through authenticity and follow-through.
- A proactive problem solver who brings ideas to improve engagement.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing remote software engineering teams.
- Experience building AI-powered products (LLMs, voice, agentic workflows, retrieval, evaluation frameworks, or human-in-the-loop systems).
- Familiarity with responsible AI practices (safety, privacy, data governance, and model risk mitigation).
