CloudLinux was looking for an Engineering Manager for the Security Research Team (JavaScript) (remote work)

CloudLinux is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Security Research team focused on JavaScript security. You will manage a team of developers and researchers responsible for vulnerability analysis and patching for our Endless Lifecycle Support product, ensuring timely security updates across JavaScript ecosystems.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of JavaScript Security Developers/Researchers working on vulnerability analysis and patching.
  • Ensure timely delivery of security patches and updates across JavaScript ecosystems.
  • Organise and improve development workflows and engineering processes.
  • Manage onboarding and ramp-up of new projects and libraries to the team’s scope.
  • Coordinate internal documentation and make sure it reflects the actual project state.
  • Align team efforts with client expectations and delivery commitments.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in JavaScript development with at least 5 years of production experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience (Team Lead / Engineering Manager) in a product company.
  • Proven experience with technical delivery and accountability for team outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively in distributed teams and within larger organisational structures.
  • Strong communication skills; capable of interfacing with stakeholders and meeting external expectations.
  • Experience building engineering processes and teams from scratch.
  • English – Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience identifying and analysing vulnerabilities in JS applications.
  • Understanding of the security vulnerability lifecycle.
