What You'll Do
Guide a multidisciplinary team of software and infrastructure engineers focused on the core data systems powering a high-scale platform. You'll shape the long-term vision for storage infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and developer efficiency at every level.
Design and implement reusable integration patterns, APIs, and developer-facing tools that simplify access to databases, search engines, and storage services. Prioritize automation to eliminate manual workflows and reduce operational friction for engineering teams across the organization.
Own the end-to-end health of critical data layers, proactively identifying scalability challenges and engineering solutions that ensure uptime and responsiveness under heavy load. Champion infrastructure as a product, treating internal developer experience as a first-class priority.
Requirements
- Proven experience in both software development and infrastructure engineering, with a mindset that bridges code and systems operations.
- Track record managing engineering teams, including coaching individuals, setting performance expectations, and delivering large-scale technical initiatives.
- Extensive hands-on work with large-volume data systems such as PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, Solr, and object storage solutions.
- Experience building platforms or internal tools for developers, including SDKs, client libraries, or self-service provisioning interfaces.
- Curiosity about AI and LLMs as productivity tools, with a focus on practical, ethical integration into workflows.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly in a distributed, global environment.
