Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers by providing technical guidance, supporting career development, and cultivating a culture rooted in trust, accountability, innovation, and teamwork.
- Act as a hands-on technical leader by contributing to system design, architecture reviews, prototyping, and key development initiatives to maintain credibility and influence.
- Drive the delivery of high-value AI products and platform features by setting measurable goals, monitoring progress, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Define and guide the long-term technical strategy for AI engineering in collaboration with product, platform, and security teams to align with business objectives.
- Establish architectural standards and foundational systems that enable rapid, scalable development of AI capabilities such as agentic workflows, RAG, and LLM-driven features.
- Focus on key technical domains including LLM-based applications, retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, AI evaluation, observability, and responsible AI practices.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of AI systems, from design through deployment and operation, ensuring robustness and scalability across model integrations and knowledge retrieval.
- Guide the creation of AI infrastructure including orchestration platforms, agent frameworks, testing systems, and monitoring with feedback integration.
- Balance innovation with execution by managing technical debt, platform investments, and product timelines while maintaining engineering quality.
- Support the evolution of engineering culture by promoting technical excellence, continuous learning, and disciplined delivery across the organization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Security, Platform, Product, Design, and Customer groups to ensure reliable, compliant, and user-focused AI solutions.
