Skanska is looking for an Engineering Manager to be responsible for construction quality, safety, and innovation on the project. You will provide objective engineering judgment, intervene to protect permanent works and people, and drive high-quality, low-carbon engineering solutions.
What You'll Do
- Produce and contribute to AIP and GDR document development.
- Carry out temporary works design and manage the design checking process.
- Contribute to and review inspection and test plans for the control of temporary works.
- Manage the response to unexpected ground conditions.
- Meet responsibilities as a designer under CDM and ensure all residual risks from permanent and temporary works designs are communicated appropriately.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or alternative higher education qualification in Civil Engineering or considerable time served in a similar role.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of relevant industry specifications, such as CESWI and The Specification for Highway Works.
- Construction and design experience embracing structure, working platforms, geotechnics, management of ground water, site investigation and material selection and testing.
