Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern for a 3-6 month opportunity within our interdisciplinary AI Ethics, Safety, and Responsible AI team. The intern will engage with cutting-edge projects utilizing agentic AI to address fundamental ethical challenges in a global multimedia environment, providing hands-on experience alongside a globally diverse research team. Responsibilities - Support development of engineering infrastructure for novel agentic AI systems, implementing task-specific agents and workflow orchestration - Enhance and scale agent infrastructure for large language model evaluations, logging, and workflow component analysis - Develop tools and frameworks for assessing and mitigating AI-related risks - Support technical experiments evaluating AI agents and language models - Contribute to influential research outcomes in premier conferences and journals - Demonstrate self-motivation and capability to propose innovative solutions Qualifications - Completed or pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Sciences - Strong software engineering background with demonstrated interest in agentic AI - Familiarity with AI ethics and responsible AI development - Proficient in Python and collaborative software development - Understanding of AI and machine learning fundamentals - Experience with LLM tooling (LangChain, Ollama), API integration, and prompt engineering - Preferred knowledge in NLP, task automation, frontend development, and cloud computing - Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Apply now and make an impact with the Sony AI Ethics Team!
