Terumo Cardiovascular is looking for an Engineer II, Software to contribute to the development of critical product software. In this role, you'll perform testing, debugging, and produce documentation to ensure our medical devices meet the highest quality and safety standards, directly supporting our mission to contribute to society through healthcare.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes.
- Perform all aspects of software development, including specification, design, and implementation following established procedures.
- Review software documents and code and provide constructive feedback.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for improvement.
- Prototype software for demonstration and feasibility purposes.
- Assist with hardware/software integration tasks.
- Contribute to the planning, implementation, and completion of projects for manufacturing new or improving existing products.
- Recommend cost reduction projects and opportunities for productivity and quality improvements.
- Provide support for testing software systems for both enhancements and new products.
- Assist with defining software and verification requirements.
- Gather, track, and analyze data for meetings, business plans, and performance metrics.
- Assist with planning expenditures, attend meetings, and prepare reports as required.
What We're Looking For
- A four-year college degree in an applicable engineering discipline such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering.
- A minimum of three years of experience in software design and implementation.
- Three years of experience with structured or object-oriented programming.
- Experience with C++ is essential.
