About the Role

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) is looking for an Engineer II to join our Photo Operations department. You will perform critical photo process engineering duties within a high-speed, high-throughput semiconductor manufacturing environment, focusing on process monitoring, adjustments, quality, and qualifications.

What You'll Do

  • Perform photo process engineering for semiconductor manufacturing, including process monitoring, adjustments, quality, and qualifications.
  • Troubleshoot basic tool issues and make decisions based on effective data analysis.
  • Respond to failures using established procedures and propose solutions using best-known methods.
  • Perform daily process monitoring for SPC trends and change point monitoring.
  • Conduct data analysis and make informed decisions based on your findings.
  • Provide support for abnormal events and ongoing defectivity and yield improvement.
  • Interact with external yield, defect, and manufacturing teams.
  • Implement operational projects using LEAN principles to improve existing practices.
  • Investigate quality issues, improve process margins, and maintain a high level of process control.
  • Apply knowledge in photolithography process qualification and communicate with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Interface with process and equipment engineers to audit and evolve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and OCAPs.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving Python, Java, and C.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming.
  • Experience using Git for code version control and managing codebases.
  • Experience with data cleaning, data mining, and performing statistical models.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.

  • Compensation range: $82,343.17 to $102,343.17.
