Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) is looking for an Engineer I to join our team. In this role, you will focus on yield analysis and improvement in our semiconductor manufacturing process. You will use your skills in data science and engineering to drive preventive measures and enhance production efficiency, innovating today to power the devices of tomorrow.
What You'll Do
- Detect systematic and random yield loss and drive the fab engineering team to implement preventive measures.
- Use statistical analysis, semiconductor process and device physics knowledge, coding, and machine learning.
- Evaluate product characteristics from circuit design to semiconductor process to identify the root cause of detected yield losses.
- Utilize statistical analysis tools to find fab commonality and deep dive into electrical test data to segregate good and affected material.
- Evaluate process changes, check for statistical significance in wafer sort testing, and provide clear direction to the Fab on effectiveness and risk.
- Derive models for defects, share results with responsible departments, and manage improvement items.
- Code significant change items into the baseline production yield model to establish yield targets and deliver clear forecasts.
