CrowdStrike is hiring a Senior Engineer for the Falcon Risk Platform team, where you will design and build the foundational risk platform that powers our cybersecurity solutions. You will be responsible for a globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud ecosystem that aggregates risks from internal and third-party sources.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, microservices, and data pipelines powering internal and customer-facing web applications.
- Collaborate with DevOps to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Design and implement database solutions using large-scale distributed data stores, OLAP data stores, and distributed caching.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures, identifying and resolving performance and reliability issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Configure advanced monitoring, alerting, and maintain high availability for production services.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced programming expertise in object-oriented languages like Golang or Python.
- Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and technical problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of production experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Proven microservices experience with scalable REST APIs and distributed communication patterns.
- Solid distributed systems understanding including concurrency, parallel processing, and scalability patterns.
- System troubleshooting expertise for complex distributed architectures.
- Experience building data platforms at scale with distributed ETLs and ingestion pipelines.
- Message queue proficiency with Kafka or similar.
- Database versatility with technologies like OpenSearch, Cassandra, Redis, or Valkey.
- Past experience with OLAP systems and large-scale analytical problems.
- Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Experience integrating AI tools into SDLC pipelines and proficiency with AI-powered development tools like Claude or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong understanding of secure AI-assisted development practices, including agent task coordination and intelligent code review.
- Engineering best practices experience including testing, code reviews, and fault-tolerant architecture.
- Collaborative technical skills, ability to mentor junior engineers, and experience contributing to technical decisions.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience with Golang, Cassandra, Kafka, OpenSearch, SQL, Redis, or Apache Pinot.
- Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
- Graph database knowledge and experience with graph structures.
- Open source contributions or technical community involvement.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience.
