Dana TM4 is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering, performance, and functional testing support. You will use dynamometer benches, thermal chambers for environmental testing, vibration tables for durability testing, and broader test capabilities. The role involves end-to-end participation in testing complex systems to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency, combining technical knowledge with operational supervision for planning, execution, analysis, and resource allocation.
What You'll Do
- Before Testing: Review and approve test plans to ensure they meet safety standards, feasibility, and objectives.
- Before Testing: Develop test procedures and prepare test sequences (e.g., scripts or protocols for automated tests).
- During Testing: Assist assigned technicians in executing test sequences—hands-on collaboration.
- During Testing: Troubleshoot issues with the test environment (e.g., equipment malfunctions, configuration errors).
- During Testing: Provide expertise to product owners to investigate product-related issues (e.g., electronic or mechanical failures).
- During Testing: Maintain, improve, and ensure the functionality of the test bench, including continuous upgrades and preventive maintenance.
- During Testing: Oversee all activities in the test cells: leadership aspect, supervision of safety and compliance.
- During Testing: Validate results in real-time: monitor execution to confirm appropriate performance, enabling immediate adjustments.
- After Testing: Review test data for verification of success—analyze results to confirm validity and completeness.
- After Testing: Write and review test reports: clearly document findings, insights, and recommendations.
- After Testing: Support program teams on failures: root cause analysis and advice on resolution.
What We're Looking For
