About the Role

Glossier is looking for an Editor to ensure our customer experience comes to life through our product, presentation, packaging, and care. You will inspire and create exceptional experiences for customers discovering our brand in-store, for online pickups, or returns. Trained in all aspects of store operations, you will be essential in providing a seamless customer journey.

What You'll Do

  • Model and coach Glossier’s customer experience principles, ensuring consistently memorable and inspiring experiences.
  • Embody core values of Devoted to the Customer, Inclusive, Courageous, Curious, Discerning, and Results-Driven.
  • Become an expert on the entire portfolio of products, with active working knowledge on product basics, key benefits, application, formula, customer recommendations, and care.
  • Fulfill customer order requests in an expeditious, thoughtful, branded, and accurate manner.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with repeat customers, frequently engaging them pre and post visits.
  • Master all customer service expectations, becoming an exemplary Editor and advisor to new team members.
  • Monitor customer feedback and share information with key stakeholders via store leadership.
  • Become a brand ambassador, fully versed in all aspects of the Glossier brand and experience.
  • Operate with optimism and joy, setting the tone for the store team culture.
  • Be a safety champion, safely completing all work responsibilities and ensuring a hazard-free environment.
  • Partner with store leadership to communicate feedback on inventory logistics, packaging, and customer product experience.
  • Serve as a product guru and resource for product demonstrations for guests and new hires.
  • Collaborate with all members of the leadership and store team on special projects and assignments.
  • Adhere to safety standards as defined by store leadership and public health guidelines.
  • Restock and replenish inventory using inventory management systems and following operational standards.
  • Focus on inventory accuracy when fulfilling customer orders.
  • Receive, manage, and inspect shipment deliveries for accuracy and quality, reporting discrepancies.
  • Participate in visual projects like new display activations, floor moves, product launches, and brand events.
  • Uphold all uniform and presentation guidelines.
  • Become an expert in all operational procedures of the store, both front and back of house, supporting new hires.
  • Observe strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information like credit card or customer data.
  • Skillfully multitask, accommodating multiple customer requests without compromising service standards.

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service operation, such as retail or hospitality environment.
  • Prior experience, in an advisory or sales capacity, within the beauty/skincare space.
  • Prior experience with POS (point of sale) or inventory management systems.
