Waveguide LLC (part of Compass Group) is hiring a Director of Systems Maintenance to lead all central plant operations and maintenance within a critical healthcare environment. You will be responsible for the overall management, planning, and technical oversight of maintenance, repair, and replacement projects for the central plant and HVAC infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Assess critical infrastructure throughout the health system and prioritize assets needing investment.
- Develop and determine allocation strategy for investments across the mechanical portfolio.
- Review, evaluate, and update the preventative maintenance program, providing completion metrics to leadership.
- Monitor work flow and quality to ensure timely completion and adherence to facility standards and regulations.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction and development projects related to central plant and HVAC infrastructure.
- Review and recommend approval of construction plans, coordinating with engineers during design reviews.
- Advise on structural changes, additions, or modifications to buildings related to central plant and HVAC systems.
- Interview contractors, analyze bids, and review blueprints for proposed central plant changes.
- Maintain visibility of the Building Automation System to verify equipment performance and assist with troubleshooting.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Work history planning, organizing, and communicating programs within a central plant environment.
- Work history planning, organizing, and communicating programs within HVAC and Controls shops.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of responsibility in central plant and HVAC operations.
- Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress.
- Ability to work whatever hours are necessary to maintain facility safety, including nights and weekends.
- Good physical condition and ability to operate departmental equipment.
