Jobgether is hiring a strategic Director of Analytical Sciences to lead analytical chemistry efforts and ensure sustained product supply across the development pipeline. In this remote role, you will define analytical strategies, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful projects and shape scientific direction.
What You'll Do
- Provide scientific and technical leadership in analytical development for projects across the drug development lifecycle.
- Lead strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for analytical development projects.
- Oversee analytical method assessment, development, transfer, validation, and troubleshooting for drug substances and products.
- Manage reference standards, stability programs, and ensure data integrity for analytical testing.
- Collaborate with external CROs, CDMOs, and partners to advance development through late-stage clinical studies to commercialization.
- Author and review CMC documentation for regulatory submissions (IND, IMPD, NDA, MAA).
- Identify, evaluate, and manage external parties including suppliers, consultants, and contract organizations.
- Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations, policies, and industry guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in analytical chemistry or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience for Master’s degree holders, or 8+ years for PhD holders, with increasing responsibility in analytical sciences.
- Proven director-level experience leading functional teams, including remote and cross-functional teams.
- Extensive expertise in analytical testing, method development, phase-appropriate qualification/validation, and stability support for small molecule drug substances and products.
- Strong knowledge of cGLP/cGMP, compendial testing, ICH guidelines, and FDA/EMA regulatory requirements.
- Experience authoring analytical and stability sections of regulatory filings (NDA, MAA, IND, IMPD).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to present data clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong ethical standards and the ability to identify risks, gaps, and mitigation strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix team environment while managing competing priorities.
