About the Role
The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for developing new business by identifying potential clients, explaining product benefits, and closing sales. This position supports customers throughout the policy lifecycle and works to expand market presence in assigned areas.
Responsibilities
- Identify and contact prospective clients through community outreach and networking
- Explain features and benefits of insurance products tailored to client needs
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate coverage options
- Process applications and manage policy documentation
- Maintain accurate client records and follow up on renewals
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service issues
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets
- Stay current on product updates and regulatory changes
- Represent the company at local events and business meetings
- Build relationships with community organizations and referral sources
- Conduct periodic reviews of client policies
- Ensure compliance with state licensing and ethical standards
- Coordinate with underwriting and claims departments as needed
- Track daily activities and report progress to management
- Use CRM tools to manage client interactions
