Deutsche India Private Limited, Mumbai Branch, is seeking a DevOps Engineer. You will join a global team building the bank's Sustainability Technology Platform, focusing on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, facilitating continuous integration and delivery, and ensuring system reliability.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring cost efficiency.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Deployment Manager to automate and manage infrastructure deployments.
- Establish and enforce security protocols, Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, and compliance measures to protect data and meet organizational requirements.
- Manage cloud networking components such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, firewalls, and interconnects for secure connectivity.
- Create and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions to enable automated and efficient application deployments.
- Optimize cloud expenditures by leveraging cost-saving strategies like committed use discounts, autoscaling, and resource rightsizing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Experience with cloud-native application architecture and deployment.
- Proficiency with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible for managing infrastructure and applications.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform and GCP-native Deployment Manager.
- Expertise in security practices, IAM policies, and compliance requirements for cloud environments.
Nice to Have
- Google Cloud certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional DevOps Engineer are highly valued.
- Experience in optimizing cloud environments to enhance performance, cost, and scalability.
- Ability to stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and best practices within GCP.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, thriving in fast-paced environments and working well within cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across various technical and non-technical teams.
