BMW Group is looking for a DevOps Engineer Public Key Infrastructure IT Security to join a critical initiative. You will take a central role in implementing the BMW Group's Zero Trust Initiative, developing and operating innovative global Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions. This position contributes directly to creating future-proof and highly secure IT systems.
What You'll Do
- Build, operate, and develop the global Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) with on-premises Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
- Work closely with internal operations, IT security managers, and the PKI team to develop and operate the cloud infrastructure.
- Operate PKI systems following the 4-eyes principle and ensure their continuous optimization including monitoring, incident handling, and lifecycle management.
- Perform security-relevant processes such as on-site root key ceremonies and audits.
- Actively participate in creating and processing user stories and managing service providers.
What We're Looking For
- Completed training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker:in) or comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in IT Security as a DevOps Engineer.
- Comprehensive knowledge in the field of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), ideally with a Microsoft PKI focus.
- Knowledge of PKI architecture & certificate management (X.509, PKCS), as well as post-quantum strategies.
- Fluent German and English language skills in spoken and written form.
Nice to Have
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux infrastructures as well as cloud technologies (Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible) and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches.
