Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced tooling for deployment, monitoring, and ongoing instance maintenance
- Create and manage DevOps utilities including Ansible playbooks, Terraform configurations, custom command-line tools, deployment runbooks, configuration templates, and technical documentation to support deployment and operations teams
- Execute and oversee deployments in on-premise environments
- Lead deployment initiatives on government and ministry-controlled infrastructure, including isolated, low-connectivity, and sovereign hosting setups
- Manage containerized environments using Docker, Docker Compose, and Docker Swarm, with support for Kubernetes where required
- Collaborate directly with government IT departments to address infrastructure limitations, security policies, and network configurations
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and runtime issues in remote or restricted environments with minimal external access
- Administer and optimize cloud deployments on Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and occasionally Microsoft Azure, covering compute, networking, storage, and managed services
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for service team releases
- Monitor system performance, configure alerting systems, and respond to infrastructure incidents across client cloud environments
- Guide implementation teams on cloud architecture choices and strategies for cost efficiency
- Develop and sustain internal DevOps standards, deployment documentation, and reusable infrastructure-as-code templates for broader team adoption
- Support pre-sales activities by assessing infrastructure feasibility, hosting alternatives, and deployment effort for potential clients
- Collaborate with senior technical leadership to align deployment planning with solution architecture from project inception
