Beckman Coulter Diagnostics (a Danaher company) is hiring a Development Scientist I

Cytiva, a Danaher company, seeks a Development Scientist I to support the Development Pilot Lab. You will primarily build development and pilot lots for verification and validation studies and transfer them into manufacturing. This role acts as a key liaison between development and production, facilitating the transfer process and contributing to future project initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Support the operation of the Development Pilot Lab.
• Assist in the production of Development and Pilot lots on a routine basis.
• Act as a liaison between Development and current production, facilitating the transfer process and assisting in troubleshooting activities.
• Work on future development project initiatives for the department as project priorities and pilot lot schedules allow.
• Participate in the development and commercialization of immunoassays.
• Execute experiments, analyze data, and present conclusions to teams.
• Communicate project status and data generated with cross-functional teams.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain timelines for multiple projects.
• Work with development and manufacturing associates to ensure a smooth transition of product transfer into manufacturing.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Science (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related science).
• 0+ years of laboratory experience.
• Training in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or medical related science), Laboratory Medicine, or other related clinical chemistry experience.
• Knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods.

Nice to Have

• Proven experience in a clinical, research, manufacturing, or diagnostic setting with knowledge of immunoassay development.
• Working knowledge of basic statistical methods.

Team & Environment

This role is part of the Reagent Chemistry Development Group, specifically on the Pilot lab team, and reports to a Development Supervisor.
