SAP Software Solutions | Business Applications and Technology is hiring a Developer to help shape the future of cloud-native infrastructure at SAP and across Europe. You will join the Gardener Dashboard team, focusing on the user interface and command-line tool for managing Kubernetes clusters and contributing to the open-source ApeiroRA reference architecture.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for the Gardener Dashboard and gardenctl.
- Integrate and design new functionality to enhance the user experience and make Kubernetes management intuitive.
- Translate user needs into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
- Invent and implement creative designs to visualize complex data in clear and actionable ways.
- Optimize performance and resource consumption when presenting large real-time datasets.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring smooth operation of the Gardener Kubernetes Service.
- Work closely with users and stakeholders to translate needs into functional, elegant solutions.
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes controllers required by the dashboard and gardenctl.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Very good Kubernetes knowledge and experience with cloud infrastructure.
- Very good programming and scripting knowledge, preferably in Go and/or JavaScript.
- Very good familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Good knowledge of the Kubernetes controller runtime framework.
- Work Experience of at least 5 years in Development.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in German.
