About the Role
This role involves creating and maintaining CAD and BIM models for rail projects using MicroStation, ensuring designs meet technical standards and project requirements while collaborating with engineering professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CAD drawings and models for rail systems using MicroStation
- Support engineering teams with accurate digital documentation and modeling
- Ensure compliance with project-specific design standards and procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure development tasks
- Produce detailed construction documentation from engineering inputs
- Review and update existing designs based on project changes
- Assist in maintaining consistency across project documentation sets
- Participate in design coordination meetings and technical reviews
- Apply company-approved templates and layer standards in all deliverables
- Contribute to the development of BIM execution plans for rail projects
- Verify accuracy of design data before submission for review
- Work with geospatial and survey data within design models
- Support quality assurance and quality control processes
- Maintain organized project files and version control
- Adapt designs to incorporate feedback from engineers and stakeholders
- Use digital tools to track revisions and design changes
- Assist in preparing as-built documentation
- Follow established workflows for model sharing and collaboration
- Integrate discipline-specific requirements into CAD deliverables
- Support the transition from design to construction phases
- Apply knowledge of rail infrastructure components in modeling tasks
- Work within project timelines to meet deliverable deadlines
- Use standardized naming conventions for files and elements
- Ensure compatibility of files across different software platforms
- Maintain awareness of industry developments in CAD and BIM practices
