Pylon is looking for a Deployment Engineer to own the migration of new customers from legacy support systems onto our platform. In this role, you will combine direct customer interaction with building and automating solutions to improve the migration process, acting as the primary problem-solver and product expert during this critical transition.
What You'll Do
- Migrate new customers from their old support systems (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom) to Pylon.
- Run customer migration meetings and manage the entire migration timeline.
- Communicate directly with customers as their main point of contact and problem-solver as they rebuild their processes and data.
- Become a deep product expert to guide customers to the right solution.
- Contribute to pre-sales calls as the expert for potential technical solutions.
- Develop expertise in both Pylon and the legacy systems we migrate from.
- Manage multiple concurrent customer migrations and drive them to completion.
- Iteratively improve the migration process through automation and tooling.
What We're Looking For
- Located in, or willing to relocate to, San Francisco.
- Excited about working in-person; this is a fully on-site role with no remote or hybrid option.
- Very organized, hard working, and able to execute tasks quickly.
- Detail-oriented and a fast learner.
- An interest in tinkering with the product and suggesting improvements.

- Former Software Engineer (SWE).
