Deploy, train, and refine AI-powered systems in live aviation environments. This role places you at the intersection of engineering and operations, responsible for getting critical technology up and running at flight schools and military bases. You're not just setting up hardware and software—you're ensuring it works under real-world conditions, training users across different roles, and solving problems as they arise in the field.
What You’ll Do
- Travel frequently to customer locations to install, configure, and validate systems—integrating hardware, software, and avionics into operational aircraft and training environments
- Train instructors, students, flight operations teams, and military personnel, ensuring they can use the system confidently and effectively
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, applying fixes when possible and coordinating with engineering when escalation is needed
- Customize deployments to fit unique aircraft types, fleet configurations, and mission-specific workflows
- Collect detailed field insights—user feedback, performance data, edge cases—and deliver them in a way that drives product improvements
- Act as the primary technical contact on-site, building trust and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to shorten the cycle between real-world use and product updates
What You Bring
- 2–5 years in technical field roles involving hardware/software integration, deployment, or customer-facing engineering
- Proven ability to independently set up and troubleshoot networking, cloud-connected systems, and integrated hardware
- Strong communication skills—capable of explaining technical details clearly to non-technical users
- A resourceful mindset: you adapt quickly, solve problems under pressure, and work effectively in unpredictable environments
- Comfort with frequent travel and extended time on-site—this role is field-based and requires mobility
- Organized, calm under pressure, and trusted by customers to deliver results
- Personal presence that builds credibility and rapport quickly
Nice to Have
- Background in aviation, avionics, flight training, or military operations
- Pilot certificate or flight experience
- Experience working on military installations or within DoD environments
Technology Environment
Work across hardware/software integrations, networking infrastructure, cloud systems, avionics interfaces, and data pipelines—debugging and optimizing performance in real time.
What’s Offered
- Opportunity to earn your pilot’s license through company-supported flight training
- Competitive compensation and full coverage of travel expenses—including per diem, lodging, and flights
- Direct impact: see your work used by pilots and operators in active training and missions
- Path to leadership in field operations as the organization scales
Work Model
This is an on-site, field-based role with heavy travel. You’ll operate primarily at customer locations including flight schools and military bases, with key hubs in Daytona Beach and Edwards. Remote work is not part of this position.
Our Culture
