Border States, a 100% employee-owned company, is looking for a Delivery Driver to support the day-to-day operations of our Kansas City, MO warehouse. You will be responsible for providing delivery of materials to customer sites and branch locations, loading and unloading material, and contributing to warehouse functions. What You'll Do
- Deliver materials to Border States branches and customer sites based on business needs.
- Maintain delivery vehicles in clean, good working condition and monitor maintenance and mileage data.
- Schedule DOT/state mandated inspection visits and maintain daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations with a full understanding of truck routes.
- Load and unload material at branch and customer locations.
- Perform warehouse functions including order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving, and shipping.
- Conduct Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of a daily route.
- Assist the City Desk and Will Call areas with customer service functions like order entry, expediting, and technical assistance.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class E driver's license or higher.
- Minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and current medical certification.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to perform all aspects of the job accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrated by being competent, accurate, responsive, and engaged.
Nice to Have
- Two-years of work experience.
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems.
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows and Internet. Experience with SAP software is a plus.

This position is onsite at our Kansas City, MO location.
