Santander Digital Services is looking for a DataFlow Senior DevOps Engineer to design and implement robust solutions for automating code releases, managing cloud infrastructure, and developing platforms for secure data transmission. You will be a key contributor within a global technology team driving the bank's digital transformation.
What You'll Do
- Create cloud-based infrastructure required by software and business teams.
- Create and maintain scripts to spin up and spin down application instances.
- Ensure the company follows security policies for sensitive data, non-repudiation, and key rotation.
- Provide direct support during operations like deployments, migrations, or new functionality launches.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and best practices.
- Create various alerts to monitor system health and report issues.
- Focus on cost savings and optimization activities.
- Design infrastructure and new processes to handle data flows across the organization.
- Develop processes and tools to automate operational tasks.
What We're Looking For
- A strong background in systems automation, development, and Linux administration for at least 10 years.
- Required fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Understanding of system communication standards and protocols such as SFTP, TCP, and UDP.
- Understanding of cipher algorithms and mechanisms.
- Good development skills, primarily in Python3.
- Knowledge of system quality aspects: High Availability, Security, Traceability, Reliability, Integrity, Maintainability, Scalability, Simplicity, Standard Compliance, and Fault Tolerance.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments, specifically AWS Cloud Services including Lambdas, S3, ECS, StepFunctions, TransferFamily, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
- Expertise with tools like shell script (bash), Python, JavaScript, Bamboo, Ansible, AWS CLI, Splunk, Grafana, and Docker.
- Expertise across source control, continuous integration, and team management tools.
- A continuous improvement and technical debt reduction orientation.
- Ability to explain complex topics (cloud, resiliency, security, costs) to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to understand the full architecture (infrastructure, business, security, costs, teams) and how everything interconnects.
- Strong decision-making under pressure during critical incidents or production crises.
- Technical leadership, influencing others, setting standards, and defining best practices.
- A strong ownership mentality with full accountability for system stability, security, and efficiency.
Nice to Have
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps practices (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer).
