Cystems Logic Inc is hiring an experienced Data Scientist for an onsite role in Los Angeles, CA. In this position, you will code data science solutions, build statistical models, and manage models from requirements gathering through to production deployment and optimization. A key part of the role is translating complex statistical concepts into clear language for non-technical users.

What You'll Do

Code data science solutions using the R programming language and/or Python
Build statistical models and create predictive or forecasting models
Shepherd data science models from requirements gathering with business stakeholders, through coding and release to production, to performance assessment and refinement
Explain model details to peers and support findings with simulations measuring effectiveness
Support a Data Science Team using collaboration software like Posit Workbench, Databricks, Hex, or similar
Train the Data Science team on how to check in code and collaborate using GIT
Provide training and knowledge transfer on statistical models and methods
Explain complex statistical models and concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical users
Configure and troubleshoot Linux servers for hosting data science tools
Document code, server settings, software configurations, and workflows to facilitate lasting processes

What We're Looking For

At least eight (8) years of relevant professional experience
Experience coding data science solutions using R and/or Python
Experience building statistical models, creating predictive/forecasting models, and understanding algorithmic bias in statistics and its implications
Experience shepherding a data science model from requirements gathering through to production deployment
Experience explaining complex statistical models and concepts to non-technical users
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Linux servers
Must be a US citizen
Must be local to California
