As a Data Scientist at Ensono, you will be the engine behind the intelligence that powers our transformation to a software-first, predictive managed service model. You will take diverse, messy, and often incomplete datasets and turn them into insights, predictions, and models that drive smarter, faster, and more proactive decisions for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Design, train, and validate machine learning models for incident prediction, anomaly detection, workload optimization, and intelligent automation.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to identify, transform, and optimize features from ServiceNow, operational telemetry, financial, and customer datasets.
- Apply rigorous statistical and experimental design methods (A/B testing, Design of Experiments) to validate model performance.
- Use data storytelling to translate complex model results into actionable insights for business and operations stakeholders.
- Partner with ML Engineers to deploy models into production and with Ops teams to ensure predictions are explainable and trusted.
- Monitor drift, retrain models, and refine approaches to stay ahead of evolving infrastructure and client needs.
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data science techniques (linear models, trees, ensembles, neural networks).
- Proficiency in Python and core data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
- Experience working with ServiceNow data and other IT operations datasets.
- Skilled in SQL for data exploration and feature engineering.
- Knowledge of Snowflake is an important capability.
- Familiarity with data storytelling tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to communicate insights effectively.
- Knowledge of model evaluation metrics (F1, ROC/AUC, precision/recall) and experience optimizing for business impact, not just technical performance.
Nice to Have
- Bonus: Experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch.
- Experience with experimentation frameworks, statistical testing, or Design of Experiments (DOE) is a strong plus.
Technical Stack
- Python, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI
Team & Environment
You'll work side-by-side with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and MLOps.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $114,000 to $148,000 annually + equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
- Unlimited Paid Day Off (PDO) Plan.
- Two robust health plan options through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
- 401(k) with a generous company match.
- Eligibility for dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life and AD&D coverage, and flexible spending accounts.
- Depending on location, ability to take advantage of fitness centers.
- Wellness program and flexible work schedule.
