About the Role

The Data Engineering Lead will oversee the development and management of data infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and supports data-driven initiatives. This role involves leading a team of data engineers, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving the implementation of data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of data infrastructure and pipelines.

  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering.
  • Optimize data processing and storage solutions for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to provide the data they need for analysis and reporting.
  • Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and trends.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data infrastructure aligns with overall business goals.
  • Document data engineering processes and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of data projects.
  • Ensure data infrastructure is scalable and can handle increasing data volumes.
  • Implement data backup and recovery solutions.
  • Conduct data audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.
