As a Data Engineer, you'll help shape data-driven services on the Lakehouse Analytics platform, contributing to impactful solutions in health and social care. You'll collaborate with skilled developers and domain experts in cross-functional teams, focusing on delivering robust, scalable data systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement data solutions that power analytics and reporting capabilities
- Work closely with technical and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and deliver effective outcomes
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and processing workflows
- Contribute to building a reliable, high-performance data environment in the cloud
Requirements
- Proven experience in professional software development
- Hands-on work with data-centric systems and architectures
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, or equivalent programming languages
- Familiarity with big data platforms such as Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Apache Spark
- Experience deploying solutions in cloud environments
- Strong communication skills in both English and Finnish
- A drive to learn continuously and solve complex technical challenges
- Ability to take ownership, work collaboratively, and contribute openly within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in healthcare or social care data systems
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse architectures
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and data marts
- Development experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization
