DATAPAO is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Databricks expertise to join their team in Spain. The role focuses on delivering high-quality data engineering solutions and driving innovation using modern data platforms within a collaborative, agile environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility across platforms
- Work closely with AI and analytics teams to enable advanced use cases
- Support implementation and optimization of Databricks-based environments
- Contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing within the data engineering team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with at least 5 years in data-intensive environments
- Strong expertise in Databricks (Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Spark SQL, Databricks workflows)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under deadlines
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Databricks certifications
- Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and AI/ML use cases
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data applications
- Background in consulting or client-facing roles
- Spanish language proficiency
