SLS GURU is hiring a Data Engineer (Short-Term Engagement)

Responsibilities

Design and maintain efficient data pipelines using CData connectors
Extract, transform, and load data into Snowflake for analytical purposes
Create and manage scalable data models in Snowflake
Develop and refine Looker data models using LookML for business intelligence
Ensure high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and system reliability
Work with business teams to gather reporting needs and convert them into technical implementations
Diagnose and fix issues in data workflows and modeling logic
Apply industry best practices in data governance, performance, and system scalability

Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional experience in data engineering
Advanced proficiency with CData, including connectors and data integration workflows
Deep knowledge of Snowflake, including modeling, query optimization, and ETL/ELT processes
Proven experience developing Looker schemas using LookML
Strong command of SQL and handling large-scale datasets
Experience building complete data pipeline architectures from source to destination
Understanding of standard data integration methods and design patterns
Background working in Agile project environments
Solid analytical and communication abilities

Nice to Have

Familiarity with additional business intelligence platforms beyond Looker
Knowledge of current tools in the modern data stack
Experience applying data governance and data quality frameworks
Exposure to cloud-native data platforms and ecosystems
Background working with data in manufacturing or distribution sectors
